This course will enable candidates to understand how to improve their handling techniques to avoid injury so it is particularly suited for those starting a new job, returning to work or who need specific manual handling training.

Pre-requisites:

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and the practical assessment.

Course Content Includes:

 

• How the body works when lifting,

• The importance of risk assessments,

• Types of equipment used in handling,

• Practical ways in which to lift.

Qualification:

 

HABC Level 2 Award in Moving and Handling (1 Credit).
